Huddersfield Photo-Imaging Club
Welcome to Huddersfield Photo-Imaging Club (HPIC). We're an amateur photography club based in Huddersfield, which meets weekly on Wednesday evenings from 7:45pm for an 8.00pm start in the Conservative Club, Kirkheaton*.
HPIC is one of the oldest established clubs in Yorkshire. We have over 50 members at all levels of photographic skills and interests, ranging from young members just starting out on their photographic journey to more experienced members achieving international reputations. We pride ourselves as being a friendly club in which members are always willing to offer encouragement, support and inspiration.
Please feel free to browse the website and if you’re interested in trying us out, select Join Us.
* Until further notice we are conducting meetings via Zoom. Please get in touch using the form on the Join Us page if you'd like to join a meeting.
We are currently unable to hold physical meetings but we are continuing to operate with a revised programme and meeting remotely via Zoom. Meetings are held every Wednesday and are open to join from 7.45pm for an 8.00pm start.
Take a look at the Diary Dates for 2020 for details of our revised remote meeting programme.
Discounted Membership Fees
As we are not currently able to meet in person and will not be incurring our usual room hire fees, etc. we have reduced our annual subscription fees by 50%.
Please see the Join Us page for more details.
15th Annual FIAP Club World Cup competition 2020
HPIC are excited to announce that having entered the FIAP Club World Cup for the first time last year, we've got the results back. Without spoiling the surprise we've massively outperformed expectations. You can see the full club entry along with a write up of the authors, individual scores and where we placed in the write up on our News page.
HPIC Annual Exhibition 2020 - a great success
Our Exhibition has now run its course and we've taken it down. Thanks to Temporary Contemporary and Kirklees Council, the shop unit provided an excellent gallery space to exhibit our members’ work. We had many visitors during our open days and lots of complimentary comments on the photographs shown. If you came to the exhibition, a big thank you from Huddersfield Photo-Imaging Club for taking the time to visit.
Missed it? You can look at this year's exhibition and the previous years on our Exhibition archive page.
Please take time to look at some inspirational images from our very own members.
We currently have 24 member galleries. If any other member would like their own gallery to be featured here, please send your images and a few words about yourself to email@example.com.
