Annual Competition – 3rd week of judging 05/05/21

Tonight, was our first print judging for the annual competition. Our judge being Stephen Dean LRPS, APAGB from our own Federation, YPU.

Stephen started off by thanking the club in their endeavors in enabling print categories to be entered and for his invitation to judge all the prints. Stephen explained that he was judging the print and not the digital images shown on screen.

Our experienced members work was judged tonight and Stephen had a variety of genres and different images from the following categories: Open Colour, Open Monochrome, Record, Portrait, People and Figure Studies and as in previous weeks was asked to spread the marks and to hold images back for the Oscars.

Steven gave detailed comments on each print and again we have a judge who gave our authors plenty to think about their work. We had a variety of different authors who had images held back and look forward to the Oscar night in June.

We have the last evening in the print judging in the next few weeks.
