Talk - David Smith on OLYMPUS 12/05/21

David Smith (Content Creation, Touch and Try and Events Senior Co-

ordinator) gave a very comprehensive, informative and entertaining

overview of the Olympus Camera, now owned by OM Digital Solutions, to

a packed Zoom house of 36 members. A fair number of whom owned up

to being owners of Olympus cameras which they had loved and cherished

going back several decades.

The Olympus product’s comparative compactness, low weight and

technological wizardry are some of the benefits of ownership of this

camera range. The five dimensional, in-camera stabilization system and

the in-camera focus stacking of up to eight images were some of the

technological facilities cited by David.

The presentation started with shots, taken by David himself, in his

favourite genres of portraiture and macro photography. However,

members should really watch the recording of the excellent presentation

and live demonstrations, to get an insight to the full benefits of Olympus

ownership.

David stated that he would welcome members emailing him

(David.Smith@omdigitalsolutions.com) should they have any queries or

want to take their interest to the next level.
