The latest news from our recent club evenings and events or any other items of interest.

This was the second part of looking at different photographic distinctions, with Paul Campbell presenting a overview of British Photographic Exhibitions (BPE’s) and how to achieve the different awards or crowns, with Sheelagh Davidson presenting some of her work which have contributed to her BPE acceptances.

In the second half we were looking at FIAP awards with Sue and James Gibson giving an overview on how the award work, the importance of all in keeping good records and with Ian Marshall a variety of images towards his AFIAP.

With tonight’s meeting on Zoom, it gave those 24 members who had visiting the Rawthorpe Amateur Boxing Club in July an opportunity to show some of their images and for members to ask questions on to achieving the results.

Following a request from members on how to take the next step on your photographic journey, we had two speakers tonight looking at Photographic distinctions.

Firstly, Mary Crowther ARPS, from Royal Photographic Society, brought along four print panels of work demonstrating the level for LRPS and ARPS and invited members to look and discuss the panel of work shown and to ask questions.

In the second half Sue and James Gibson discussed the photographic awards from the Photo Alliance of Great Britain (PAGB) with work shown from Richard Fulcher and Ian Marshall their recent achievements in CPAGB and for members to ask questions.
